Marbella is located on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol and is a part of Andalusia region. It is a luxurious resort with 27 km of sandy Mediterranean beaches, palm-lined promenades, villas, hotels, boutiques, nightclubs and golf courses.

Marbella has its unique micro-climate thanks to the Sierra Blanca mountain range. The peaks shelter the city from strong winds and cool the summer heat. The winter here is mild and summer is not too hot.

Andalucia is not only famous for its wonderful beaches and old cities. One of the best Spanish ski resorts is located here in a mountain range called Sierra Nevada. It contains the highest point of continental Spain: Mulhacén, at 3479 metres (11414 ft) above the sea level.

To get to the Sierra Nevada ski resort you need to travel to Granada. It will take you less than 2 hours to get there from Marbella. From Granda to Sierra Nevada – around 30-40 minutes. The resort has more than 110 km of slopes, 21 ski lifts and snowpark. It is fun to visit not only in winter, summer activities are available too – bike park, race track and orientation circuits. The infrastructure also includes hotels, restaurants, etc.
